Fitness Training

Our bodies are naturally designed for movement.

Unfortunately, adults become more sedentary with age, with consequences like sarcopenia (loss of muscle mass) and weak or brittle bones, but there is so much you can do to prevent it.

Did you know, for example, that the incredible benefits of resistance training are proven to enable you to live a longer and healthier life?

Strength training increases bone density far more than we can achieve by diet alone. The pulling action of muscles not only cushions, but also strengthens the bones, which lowers your risk of falls and fractures and reduces the incidence of chronic pain.

Muscle is often defined as ‘the organ of longevity’ for its function as a blood sugar regulating organ. It stores sugar (glycogen) that is not needed straight away for energy, and therefore contributes dramatically to keeping you metabolically healthy, lowering your risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Lack of strength and muscle is linked to a reduced quality of life. But it's never too late to start and we can provide you with all the tools you need to build up your muscles and lead a long, strong, healthy and fulfilling life.
